The University of Florida residency programs at Ascension Sacred Heart strive to fund an adequate number of residency positions appropriate to clinical needs, allowing residents to work manageable shifts as part of their training experience. Our total compensation package compares to the top training programs in the country. Residents also receive bi-weekly meal stipends. Our salary stipends are designed to provide each house staff member with income to maintain a comfortable standard of living in Pensacola and surrounding communities. In addition to competitive stipends for residents, the GME office offers educational programs and individual financial counseling on student-loan deferment, consolidation and repayment options. Greg Madrid, of Branford, has been promoted to Sacred Heart University’s director of residential life.
